The L&D Philly Story
L&D Philly was founded in 2015 with a goal of providing opportunities for the learning and development community to connect and grow their skills. The co-founders were Josh Maleeff, John Luczkowski & Hannah Hartwell.
Over the years the organization has gone through changes. It started as a meetup group for its first year before incorporating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2016. The focus for most of its history was been on providing monthly workshops. With the pandemic in 2020, it shifted from in-person workshops to virtual ones.
In 2026, we have pivoted to a networking organization for learning and development practitioners. This was based on the results of an interest survey available at this link.
