Painless Surveys: From Asking the Questions to Attacking the Issues

Tuesday, May 15th at 5:30 PM

Crowne Plaza, King of Prussia

In this dynamic, interactive session participants will learn how to push past objections and implement surveys successfully. The facilitators, who have each been writing, conducting, and evaluating surveys for over a dozen years, will take a deep dive into the ins and outs of engagement surveys, pulse surveys, 360 feedback surveys, retention interviews, and exit interviews. Participants will explore options regarding survey timing, question types, and survey administration. The CRS team will explore the pros and cons of anonymity and confidentiality in light of goals to build trust and secure valuable results from the highest number of participants. Morreen and Christin will share survey best practices and strategies for leveraging partnerships with Operations to maximize the value of surveys. Participants will gain a better understanding of how to interpret survey data, how to present results to the leadership team and Operations, and how to build an action plan to drive results and engagement.

Speakers:

Morreen Rukin Bayles, President of CRS, Inc., founded Creative Restaurant Solutions, Inc. in 1997. Before starting CRS, Morreen acquired 25 years of deep and diverse experience in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, retail, and restaurants. She has applied the hands-on experiences garnered along the way to help organizations improve the employment experience through initiatives that focus on retention, productivity, and profitability. When restaurant clients left the industry, she opened a sister company Combined Resource Solutions, Inc., which provides surveys, training and consulting to a variety of industries. Under Morreen’s leadership the CRS team was recognized as a Philly 100 Winner in 2016 and 2017 by the Entrepreneur’s Forum of Philadelphia and the Wharton Small Business program, and Morreen was a recipient of the 2017 Enterprising Women of the Year Award.

Christin Smith Myers, Chief Operating Officer of CRS, Inc., has been consulting with regional and national firms since 2001. She helped Morreen launch the exit interview and survey divisions, which she led from 2005 – 2011. She then served as Executive Director of the Beyond Insurance Global Network before returning to CRS in 2015 in the role of Chief Operating Officer. She and her team at CRS manage several large-scale survey projects each year, as well as dozens smaller interview and survey projects.
