Developing Coaches When You Have No Time to Develop Coaches

Program:

Are you responsible for helping supervisors and leaders develop their skills? If so, is coaching one of those skills that you need new leaders to develop? There are dozens (maybe hundreds!) of programs available to teach someone how to be a better coach, but most of these programs last several days. And most of us don’t have several days to focus on just one skill area. In this session, I’ll share a really basic coaching model that you can use with new supervisors. It won’t make them an expert, but it will cover the basics and give them a foundation on which to build over time.

New Member/Prospective Member Meet and Greet:

We'd like to invite you to join us just prior to the event (5:30 - 6 p.m.) for our New Member/Prospective Member Meet and Greet. This is a great way to connect with other new members and discuss the value that membership with our chapter can offer YOU. Additionally, we will have people from our Membership team there to answer any questions you may have about the chapter. When you check in, just let our greeter know you are interested in joining the Meet and Greet, and he or she will direct you.

Presenter:

Jeff Fetterman is the Manager of Learning and Development (L&D) at PSECU as well as an adjunct professor at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. Prior to joining PSECU, he was a Director at Booz Allen Hamilton where he was responsible for the functional/technical skills development of over 23,000 employees. Jeff also was the manager of course development at a division of GE Industrial Systems, where he oversaw the development of classroom and web- based courses designed for GE customers. Jeff has a Master of Science (MS) in Mathematics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Human Capital Strategist (HCS).
