Description:

Join L&D Philly and industry veterans Jesse Harris and Laura Pickel for an awesome exploration of how we, as training professionals, can build credibility and trust with our learners in a virtual environment. While teaching online is becoming the norm for others in our field, they're virtual facilitation veterans. For the past several years, they've been running online learning experiences at Virgin Orbit, IDEO U, and Stanford. Through these experiences, they've developed a digital facilitation toolkit and they're excited to share it with you!

You’ll walk away with quick and fun techniques you can use in your next meeting, along with a list of a virtual facilitation framework to add to your digital facilitation toolkit.

Facilitators:

Jesse Harris

Jesse is Director of People at Virgin Orbit, where he leads the Learning & Development, Recognition, and Engagementprograms for Sir Richard Branson's rocket company. He also teaches classes and workshops on gamification and change design for Stanford Continuing Studies and the Stanford d.school. He also crossed off a big bucket list item by winning big on The Price is Right in 2019.

Laura Pickel

Laura is a Learning Experience Designer at Lyft, an IDEO U teaching team lead, and an adjunct lecturer in the Stanford School of Engineering. In past lives, she's been a User Experience Designer at SAP, taught at the Stanford d.school, conducted hundreds design thinking workshops, and taught at an experiential high school, using New York City as her classroom.
