Description:

Diversity, equity, and inclusion dialogue is a form of improvisational art. Every dialogue is unique, built upon the individual contributions and experiences of the people brought together in that moment. Yet there are foundational principles and practices that facilitators must practice to accomplish positive outcomes. This session will provide tips and tools for effectively facilitating DEI dialogues to ensure honest, heartfelt conversations and commitment to lasting behavior change.

Applications

  • Integrate DEI dialogues into training and development activities.
  • Identify tools to facilitate meaningful DEI-related dialogues with diverse learners.
  • Learn how to handle challenging, emotionally charged situations that often arise in the midst of identity-related discourse.
