I am currently conducting a retained search for a Training, Process and Development Manager at Infiana USA, Inc., (www.infiana.com) located in Malvern, PA. Infiana is a manufacturer of innovative films for the building/construction, pressure sensitive, hygiene/healthcare, as well as the composites sectors.

This hands-on middle management position working on the plant floor reports to the Business Excellence Director and will have responsibility for the design, implementation, delivery and coordination of training activities for all manufacturing union employees. The Training Manager will work closely with the operators, using the TWI model, to determine the best approach and methods for training in the Extrusion, Coating, Slitting and Printing departments.

The Training Manager utilizing “Lean Principles” and partnering with internal stakeholders will be expected to conduct a needs analysis, to determine the appropriate training requirements and then develop/implement the appropriate training programs/processes to address the identified competency gaps.

Also, the Training Manager will need to develop and manage the training budget; respond to all training requests from management; maintain employee training records per ISO standards; and drive Employee Engagement through a variety of methods including Lean Principles, Root Cause Analysis and Training.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree, 5 to 10 years Industrial Manufacturing experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a training function in a Manufacturing Facility. Green Belt Certification helpful. Knowledge and understanding of Lean Principles required. Excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are required.
