    Enersys is currently looking for a Technical Training Specialist at its Corporate Headquarters in Reading, PA. The individual in this position is responsible for designing training courses for field personnel to ensure we have competent employees and representatives to support the Americas.

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Complete job and task analyses as part of the overall training needs assessment.
    • Identify competencies which are needed for each job level/position.
    • Partner with key stakeholders including Human Resources to determine job mastery levels and link training and prerequisites for each.
    • Work with Environmental Health & Safety, and other subject matter experts to create any standards, procedures, and/or work instructions needed to support the training identified.
    • Create learning objectives meeting the identified training needs and plan the training evaluation to measure the success of the training.
    • Design/develop eLearning courses, course outlines, job aids, and other training materials as part of a curriculum; coordinate with other trainers creating courses.
    • Provide training using these and other methods: eLearning, instructor-led (classroom and hands-on), and webinars.
    • Evaluate training and make improvements.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • At least 5 years working as a trainer preferably in a technical environment (manufacturing, service center, etc) with experience identifying training needs, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating training.
    • At least 1 year experience designing and developing eLearning courses with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline 2, Articulate Presenter, Adobe Captivate, GoAnimate, etc.
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Training or equivalent in work experience.
    • Training and instructional design knowledge and skills including adult learning theory, job/task analysis, course and curriculum development, and evaluation.
    • Computer skills to perform essential functions including MS Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Technical experience with electricity, electronics, safety compliance or other related industry experience preferred.
    • ยท Knowledge or experience with micro-learning, scenario-based eLearning, and/or story based design a plus.


    Project management skills.

    Language skills including the ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner; ability to train others and train the trainers; ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, governmental regulations, and other literature.

    Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

    Abilitity to work independently and ability to create relationships with field personnel and management.
