Description:

Why pay for a Master's Degree in Instructional Design or Education when you can learn everything you need to know about "Training" in a sixty or ninety minute webinar? Okay, just kidding about that. But seriously, you can spend a whole lifetime learning about how people learn! So where do you begin? What basic principles work the best, provide the biggest bang for your buck, and are the easiest to understand and master? Well, luckily for you, we know a guy.....

This tongue-in-cheek, funny, and eye opening webinar will provide you a 30,000 Foot View (with useful, practical tips) of Learning & Development and the principles that master trainers and designers use to make highly engaging, fun, and most importantly, effective courses. You will learn how to properly scope a training project, write effective objectives, learn the science behind nine key adult learning principles and how to incorporate them into classes, and review a model for how to create effective training evaluations.

NOTE:

This program is not intended for seasoned L&D Professionals. Please do not join us and then email us later saying "this was fun but I didn't learn anything new" or "what a waste of my time and money". (Wait, it's free, what money was wasted?). Seriously, this is meant for those who have had limited experience with "training" or have done training as part of another job or side-hustle and never received formal education on...education. It will also be useful for those looking to transition into the industry - either from K-12 or HR, and will help those trying to make the transition but need to "spice up" their facilitation/design skills a bit.
