    Position Overview:

    The Training Specialist is responsible for assisting the Manager of Learning and Development in the planning, developing, organizing, and coordinating a continuous staff training and development program, encompassing all phases of operation of CBH. The Training Specialist develops and presents training on various applications and maintains accurate records of all trainings.

    ·         Actively participate in required meetings and complete all mandatory trainings.

    ·         Maintain high levels of advocacy and member confidentiality to ensure the success of CBH and our mission.

    ·         Assist in assuring both internal and external program integrity by being alert to and reporting suspected instances of provider and employee fraud, waste or abuse.


    Essential Functions:

    • Develops and presents application training for all staff including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite and Clinical Applications 
    • Manage training activities and reporting within the Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Processes, manage and track Tuition Reimbursement and Professional Development applications
    • Coordinates and facilitates new employee orientation training program
    • Provides administrative coordination for training classes such as scheduling, contract administration, and ensuring availability of audiovisual equipment, etc.
    • Performs monthly evaluations of the effectiveness of courses
    • Designs and maintains HR and training intranet home pages and content
    • Maintains training database and generates routine and ad hoc reports
    • Develops on-line training courses using identified instructional design applications
    • Assists in planning and implementing agency wide training programs
    • Provides consultation to individual staff around application troubleshooting and assistance
    • Develops, prepares and adapts staff training materials and manuals to cover specific training needs; revises, rewrites and edits existing training guides as needed
    • Other related duties as assigned

    Position Requirements:

    ·         Education:  Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or related field.  (Experience considered in lieu of degree)

    ·         License/Certification:  PHR / SHRM-CP or CPLP preferred

    ·         Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive training and experience, preferably in a human services or healthcare setting

    ·         Skills:

    ·         Proficient with social media and talent management products and tools

    ·         Ability to interact effectively with management

    ·         Ability to multi-task

    ·         Proficient in Articulate 2

    ·         Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel

    Work Conditions (including travel, overtime required, physical requirements and occupational exposure):

    • Must be able to work non-traditional hours as needed.
    • Regularly requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling and/or repetitive wrist/hand movements for various lengths of time throughout the day.
    • Ability to utilize computers and office equipment to complete daily work responsibilities.
    • Regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated.  Some fluctuation in temperature. No protective equipment routinely needed.
    • Must be able to adapt to continuous changes/demands of the job.
